Arsenal have won the first ever FIFA Women’s Champions Cup!

We started off with Olivia Smith in just the first 15 minutes of the game, making save after save. Both teams were playing strongly, with shots after shots as Arsenal and Corinthians gave it their all.
Once the second half kicked off, Arsenal came on most substitutes for Blackstenius, welcoming Maanum onto the pitch. Fox took control of the ball, and Wubbon-Moy headed it right into the bottom-right corner of the goal, settling the score 2-1. With lots of heavy action going on, Corinthians were awarded a penalty due to a foul with MacCabe. They scored from the penalty leaving the game at a 2-2 draw.
Extra time was awarded, and Corinthians didn’t leave a second to spare, starting the action immediately. Borbe tipped a header onto the roof of the net. Codina came on shortly after for Little, and following a few corners Maanum raced the ball forward and passed it to Foord, who smashed it into the goal to make it 3-2 - her first goal since September, and what a goal !!!
Arsenal held the advantage for the final minutes, but unfortunately Borbe had to be taken off the pitch due to a clash with Wubbon - Moy in the last seconds hearts go out to Borbe. Then, in the final moments, Arsenal kept control. The whistle blew and Arsenal were crowned World Champions!
