Career

Doriane started karting at the ripe age of 9. Whilst this is still a young age to begin a sport, many karters start from even younger. After a terrific karting career, Doriane moved on to the national championships in 2016. Later on in 2019 she took the victory in the female category. Pin also took part in the FIA motorsport games in the karting slalom cup alongside Esteban Masson.

In 2020 Pin made her car racing debut, competing for GPA Racing in Renault Clio Cup France. Here, she finished 2nd in the junior category, leaving spectators starstruck.

In 2022 Doriane won the Ferrari Challenge followed by a class win at the 2022 24 Hours of Spa. Moving to single seaters, Pin finished 2nd in the F4 South East Asia Championship in 2023. One of the biggest milestones in Doriane’s career took place in the 2025 F1 Academy season. After a long, stressful title fight between Pin and Maya Weug, Doriane took home the title, becoming the third-ever F1 Academy Champion.

Where is Doriane now?

Instead of taking a step back from racing, Doriane now competes in the LMPZ Pro-Am class in The European Le Mans series for the Duqueine team. Pin was also selected for the one-day FIA F3 test at the Magny-Cours in November 2026.

Making History

Doriane is currently working as a development driver for Mercedes in F! And Peugeot in WEC. This year Pin took part in a maiden F1 test with Mercedes at the Silverstone circuit, making her the first ever woman to drive an F1 Mercedes car. During an interview with the Mercedes Nu Silver Arrows Radio show, Doriane described the car's speed, braking and downforce as unlike anything she has ever experienced before. ”I’m very lucky to have this opportunity, but today was amazing. Working closely with the team and improving throughout the day, and feeling this amazing car around Silverstone. It is big, and it is a good feeling.”

Doriane Pin is an absolute inspiration for young girls across the world. Throughout her karting career she faced many challenges, including financial struggles and backlash because of her gender, but, as her nickname suggests, she overcame these struggles and rose above anything that stood in her way.

Having role models such as Doriane is essential. Female representation in motorsport isn't very common and it's important for young girls to see themselves in these types of positions.

Doriane Pin has had an amazing career and will certainly achieve more incredible things in the future.
