Cadwell Park Race 1 Recap
At lights out, Bradley Ray managed to sustain his lead, but not without pressure from current champion Kyle Ryde. By lap 2, the riders began to settle into a rhythm, but suddenly we saw Danny Kent crash at Mansfield, similar to Bridewell’s crash in Free Practice, due to a front lock-up. By lap 8 of 18, Redding, Haslam and McConnell were battling. This then led to Haslam going off the track while fighting Redding the lap later. In addition, Tommy Bridewell crashed out on lap 9, followed by Charlie Nesbitt’s DNF on lap 13.

On lap 17, Ryde had caught up to Ray and significantly closed the gap down to a couple of tenths. Kyle attempted a lunge on Bradley, which resulted in minimal contact as Ray cut in front to defend. It was an extremely close collision that could have resulted in both riders being injured due to the speed they were carrying in fourth gear. The following lap, Ray was starting to lose grip, giving Ryde an advantage. We then witnessed a drag race to the line between Ray and Ryde, ultimately Ray took the chequered flag but only by 0.087s.

We also briefly saw McConnell and Skinner make contact, leading to Billy going off track and riding on the grass. Skinner has received a Long Lap Penalty for this incident.

Cadwell Park Race 2: What can we expect?

With Bradley Ray having a dip in performance recently and Kyle Ryde capitalising on this, it has decreased the championship point difference to 28 points. We can expect to see the top two battling it out again during race 2 but the big question remains- Who will be the 2025 BSB Champion? Every point matters as we get further into the season and the pressure is mounting. Which rider will prevail at Cadwell Park?
