Saturday’s Sprint Race
This Saturday belonged entirely to Ugo Ugochukwu, who showed an amazing performance to claim his second victory of this Formula 3 season. Ugochukwu started the race for pole position, because Saturday only meant one thing, it was time for the reverse grid race. The moment the lights went out, he took control of the pack and started to build a comfortable gap over the rest of the field and crossed the finish line with the biggest winning margin in F3 history. Behind him battles were happening in the midfield as drivers fought for every championship point that was up for grabs on the fast and flowing Silverstone circuit.

De Palo Wins the Feature Race on Sunday
Sunday saw Matteo De Palo taking his first Feature race victory in the F3 championship. After a strong qualifying session where his teammate freddie slater took pole position, De Palo started fourth on the grid, the TRIDENT driver showed a good drive making his way up the pack to secure his maiden FIA Formula 3 at one of motorsport’s most iconic tracks. Despite the constant pressure from the rest of the pack who were putting pressure on him. De Palo remained calm and took the lead from his teammate and he brought it home to the checkered flag to celebrate a first victory.
However, the celebrations were short-lived, as later that afternoon he was disqualified from the Feature Race after a post-race report revealed that the diffuser didn't meet the height requirements by the FIA Formula 3 technical regulations. As a result he was stripped of his first win in F3. It was a heartbreaking conclusion to an otherwise outstanding drive.

All the contenders for the title got strong results this weekend which ensures that the standings remain close as the season is getting to the second half. Every point is becoming extremely important, and consistency is becoming just as important as speed with several drivers still firmly in the fight for the title.
With Silverstone done, the F3 championship is heading to Belgium for the race at Spa-Francorchamps for the next round of the 2026 season.
