Round 6 in Indianapolis, Indiana, is ready for the IndyCar series after a 3-week long break! Here is everything you need to know ahead of an exciting race week.
The track
This will be the 18th time that the IndyCar series will be visiting the 14-turn and 3.925 km Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course, and with Penske having won eight of those past 17 races, they are looking for yet another gold medal to take home.
Drivers to look for:
Alex Palou is coming off a very dominant 2025 season, where he won the Indy 500 along with the championship. So far this season, Palou has shown great pace by winning three of the first five rounds and extending his championship lead.
Josef Newgarden will be looking to join the collection of Penske’s many trophies from this track and as a former winner on the track, he has shown in the past that he has the ability to do it.
The last key driver to watch this weekend is Pato O’Ward. The McLaren driver is always fast on road courses and after a good start to the season, O’Ward is looking to keep his 4th place in the standings.
