Ireland v Wales

Our first try came just over 5 minutes into the match after 12 phases for Ireland’s Stockdale, getting them 7 points. Conan went on to score however, a knock on meant it was retrospectively disallowed. Edwards took the penalty and got 3 points on the board for Wales. By 36 minutes, Crowley dived through to take a try and got the conversion to make it 12-3. In an unexpected turn of events, Welsh Prop - Rhys Carre outran Ireland from over the 22 line. Edwards got the conversion as the ball bounced from the post, making it 12-8 to Ireland into the second half.

Ireland came back at Wales 3 minutes in as Conan charged to get a legal try after another TMO review. Three quarters of the way through the game, Botham scored with Edwards making another successful conversion to make it 19-17. Ireland didn’t back down because at 67 minutes, Osborne caught a ball from Stockdale to the tryline as Wales’ Williams received a yellow card. Lastly, an offside by Wales resulted in an Ireland penalty making the final score 27-17 to Ireland.

Scotland v France

Just 4 minutes in, Scotland's Graham scored from a try breakdown while Russell got the conversion. Bielle-Biarrey was next to score as France moved the ball out to the wing, making Scotland vulnerable and exploiting the opportunity. Ramos made the conversion, making it a draw. At 21 minutes, Attissogbe scored a try for France, picking up a lovely kick down the line from Bielle-Biarrey and Ramos made his next conversion to lead by 7 points. A lineout for Scotland 10 metres from the try line resulted in a try for Steyn who slipped right past the French defensive line. After many phases Scotland got a try with Schoeman as Jalibert received a yellow card. By halftime, the score was 19-14 to Scotland.

2 minutes in, Jelonch was taken off the pitch for a HIA (head injury assessment). White helped to stretch the lead with a try right next to the goal posts, meaning Russell scored an easy conversion to take the score to 26-14. Steyn scored his second try of the match, out running 3 Italian players to the line. Another conversion for Scotland was a success making it a 19-point lead. Graham scored another try for Scotland as Nouchi received a yellow card for collapsing the maul. Jordan got the 7th try after a scrum just narrowly missing the post as he dived for the line. The score went up to 47-14, which is the highest score for Scotland against France. Less than a minute later, France came storming back making a lovely offload to get Dupont their 3rd try. In this score, Steyn made a strong effort to defend and took down Dupont as he scored. This supposedly caused a serious injury as he was driven off the pitch for a medical inspection. Ramos caught Scotland’s defence off guard and dived through to score, decreasing Scotland’s lead. Russell took 3 points to make it 50 total with less than 3 minutes to go. An incredible quick turnaround for Italy gave Jegou a try as Scotland’s (NAME)  got a yellow card. Ramos gets his second try over a minute with the clock red, making it 50-40 to Scotland.

Italy v England

Garbisi was the first to score after 20 minutes of play with a penalty due to an England offside. England immediately responded with Freeman taking a try from the left wing, making the score 3-5. With 5 minutes left of the first half, Menoncello slipped through and scored a try with Garbisi making the conversion, giving Italy a 5-point lead. A minute with the clock red, Roebuck received a ball on the right wing and ran through the Italian defence, clinching a try. Smith then scored the conversion making it 10-12 to England into the second half.

4 minutes into the second half, Smith scored a penalty, increasing the English lead to 5 points. At 52 minutes, Nicotera was shown a yellow card giving Smith his second penalty to take the scoreboard to 10-18. Less than five minutes later, Underhill was looked at for head contact in a tackle, resulting in a yellow card and went to the bunker but remained as a yellow. Garbisi took a penalty to claw back some points for Italy and another with some luck on his side as the ball bounced off the post to make it 16-18. Itoje was the next to receive a yellow after attempting to knock the ball out from Italy’s grasp after a lineout. Less than 10 minutes to go and Marin scored along with Garbisi to get Italy to lead by 5 points. Our final score was 23-18 to Italy.
