As F1 makes its way to Singapore, there are a few things you should know about THE night race of the calendar.

The Marina Bay is located in the South of Singapore and has a track length of 4.94km, making the race distance 306.143km. The fastest lap recorded was set by Daniel Ricciardo in his last Grand Prix in Formula 1 with a 1:34.486s. Could this record be broken by McLaren this weekend, as we have seen in previous races this season? With 62 laps of racing action, who will prevail on this street circuit?
Last year, Lando Norris took home the gold trophy after leading from pole to take a triumphant victory 20.945 seconds ahead of then championship rival, Max Verstappen, in second place - such an iconic venue to take your third career win. Taking home bronze was Australian driver Oscar Piastri. Uncharacteristically, we had no safety car appearances that year. Could history repeat itself in 2025?

With the championship battle still marching on between the McLaren drivers, the pressure is mounting, and there is tension in the garage as CEO Zak Brown backs Lando Norris, while Team Principal Andrea Stella is supporting the Aussie mission of Oscar Piastri. After the 24-year-old crashed in qualifying to take 9th in Baku a few weeks ago, then jumped the start and crashed after a lock-up at turn 5, it gave Norris a huge opportunity to take back points and further close the gap to the current championship leader. However, a messy McLaren pitstop for the Briton of 4.1 seconds proved to be detrimental and limited Lando’s ability to fight for his well-deserved points. Max Verstappen is slowly creeping up on the Papaya teammates in the Championship battle, and it is still mathematically possible for him to win the WDC.
Onto another street circuit this weekend with unpredictable written all over it, who knows how the championship will pan out with just 25 points between Oscar and Lando.
