Oscar Jack Piastri was born on the 6th of April 2001 in Melbourne Australia. His parents, Chris and Nicole, have a total of 4 children, Oscar and his three younger sisters, Hattie, Edie and May.
He started karting at the age of nine and moved alone to Hertford, England in 2014 to continue his racing career. In 2016 he graduated to Formula E. He won his first championship at the 2019 Formula Renault Eurocup. He then went on to win the 2020 FIA F3 and the 2021 FIA F2 championships with Prema, becoming the first and only driver to win those two titles back-to-back.
After sitting on the side lines for a season as Alpine’s reserve driver, Oscar signed a contract with Mclaren F1 for the 2023 season. Obtaining his first ever podium in his rookie season at the 2023 Japanese Grand Prix. The following year at the 2024 Hungarian Grand Prix, Piastri achieved his maiden victory. As of the 2025 British Grand Prix, Piastri has achieved seven race wins, four pole positions, seven fastest laps, and 20 podiums in Formula One. He is also currently the world championship leader, ahead of his teammate Lando Norris.

Oscar is known for being cool, calm and collected. He is a man of few words and is often compared to the retired driver Kimi Räikkönen, often referred to as the ‘Ice-man’ for his cold demeanor. This has resulted in Piastri’s nickname, ‘The Ice Boy’. Piastri has been noted by critics for his composure under pressure. In 2023, Scott Mitchell-Malm of The Race compared his "relaxed intensity" to that of Max Verstappen.

Personal Life
To this day Oscar has a strong relationship with his family and friends. As for his romantic life, he has been with his current girlfriend, Lily Zneimer, for the last 7 years. Although they prefer to keep their relationship mainly private, she is often seen supporting him from the Mclaren garage during races.
Oscar has an unmatched raw passion for the sport and unbelievable potential. He will surely make an excellent champion one day…
